I need to get myself a new TV set. My old 1366x768 32" one isn't gonna cut it.... :(
Anyone knows of a cheap but good 4K TV?
It's alright as long as it remains the e xception. So OK, I get it that this time they had to release the PS4 at about the same time as the competition launched their own system, and that it was a couple years before 4K started to catch on, that they hadn't foreseen that consumers would be willing to give in to 4K TVs and Ultra HD Blu-Rays so soon after they were lead to buy Full HD TVs and 1080p Blu-Rays, and also that they have Virtual Reality coming, and that could use a little ext...
Xbox boss doesn’t believe Sony is “doing a better job” shipping more exclusives
"Oh, OK...
Deniiial!!!"

LOL
Crystal ball eh?
See? That right there is typical Microsoft, and their fanboys are exactly the same, all that matters is the numbers, one-upping the other one with inflated numbers (not the number of exclusives, sadly), just for the bragging rights.
I'll type it in caps so even a muppet like you can understand: WHAT GOOD IS IT TO HAVE A TIGER OF AN ENGINE IF THERE'S NOBODY TO DRIVE THE CAR??? What will you do with your oh-so-powerful xbox one sc...
Ssshhhh, let xbox fanboys play their "card-name-and-numbers&qu ot; game, that's about all they have to play.
Meanwhile PS4 gamers have Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, God of War 4, Days Gone, No Man's Sky, The Last Guardian, etc. to play.
"The Xbox Scorpio, while expensive – rumored to be $600, would still be the console of choice over the Xbox One Slim given its power. With that said, it makes Microsoft’s announcement of Project Scorpio a weird one, in one single swoop, it stole any selling power from the Xbox One S.
Now gamers will be anticipating the release of the Xbox Scorpio, saving those cash until next year. Whilst that happens, the Xbox One S could gather dust on store shelves, never getting th...
Sony didn't "announce" the PS4 Neo, Andrew House just confirmed in one sentence, after being asked by a journalist, that the Neo was real. Nothing more.
"Andrew House says Sony’s new console isn’t ready to show off yet, and questions the wisdom of Microsoft announcing Scorpio a year in advance"
Microsoft has very little wisdom, if any.
Microsoft: green matter ($$$)
Sony: grey matter
Outdated compared to what? My PC for instance has like 2GB of RAM, and reaches its limit if I try to emulate a GameCube game. It runs MAME, the NES, SNES all the way up to PS1 games pretty fine though. And before you start running your mouth on how your PC is a gaming rig in wartime configuration capable of running Star Citizen in 8K @ 120fps, let me remind you that according to a survey that came out just last year only 1/3rd of Steam users can run their games in 1080p and ultra high is only...
OMG looks like I missed a lot... just had to sleep and now I think I shoulda tried to stay awake.... :p
"Xbox One Scorpio Marks The Beginning of Gaming Beyond Generations"
More like the beginning of gaming beyond consoles, he probably means, that is, gaming without consoles... :(
Looks great, can't wait. I have only played Oblivion on the PS3 (and have made very little progress in about 60 hours of playing time, lol), this fully revamped version of Skyrim for the PS4 is calling me
Same here. Looks like I was well inspired to hold off on buying Skyrim for the PS3, as this will have better graphics, the PS4 features, and mods!!! woohoo! The last console game that had mods like on PC was Unreal Tournament III on the PS3 back in 2008!
It's so cool that Bethesda is doing it this time!
My thoughts exactly. Microsoft is so completely obsessed and out of their goddamn mind to try and beat Sony no matter what that, the second they read the rumors on the net that Sony supposedly has one new system that's marginally more powerful than the base model to embrace the new 4K TVs and Ultra HD Blu-Ray and improve the VR experience; they jump on it like hungry wolves on a bloody steak and announce not just one, but 4 new models. But they're so adamant about their stupid child...
Seriously doubt it. The game looks kinda cool, but is far from using the power of the PS4 to its fullest, visually it looks nothing like KOF XIII on the PS3 with its vibrant art style. To be honest, I don't think it looks as good as even KOF 98, 96, or 94 (and yes, I own these and more on my Neo Geo AES, so I know)
Now in terms of gameplay I suppose it's gonna be as ever, with a few new touches, but the graphics, art style, music etc. will probably never be anything like wha...
Kind of a bummer it won't feature at E3, but it's true, it makes better sense from a PR perspective.
Oh well, we'll still have VR and the exclusives.
Now that TWITCH is also on the PS3 I'll probably try to watch it there, but on which channel?
Gah, I can never wrap my head around those CET, BST etc. letters. What day and what time is the Sony conference if you live in France?
Not totally though. Microsoft did announce backward compatibility with a few xbox 360 titles for the xbox one, and Rare Replay.
Interesting to see Mr Yamauchi himself drive the car, but the more I realize he is also a real competition pilot, the more I find it astounding that he never realized the engine sounds in his simulation racing games were pretty much all fundamentally off.
Well, there's apparently not a single game out there that managed to nail it anyway, but GT was even farther late than the others. Soundslike they've made improvements for this one though, but it's still not anywhere ne...
